CATIA TECHNICAL DESIGNER / DRAFTER

• The Catia Technical Designer / Drafter demonstrates a complete understanding of aircraft technical design principles and concepts relative to the immediate group or organization and general knowledge of related or interfacing groups or disciplines.
• Practices wide application of aircraft company and industry design and documentation processes and standards to design minor components or portions of major systems for commercial aircraft.
• The mechanical / structural technical designer develops complete major layouts of engineering designs using Catia.
• Modifies existing aircraft or part designs to develop or improve products and facilitate manufacturing processes.
• Gathers information, makes studies, prepares original rough sketches used by others to prepare final documentation.

Requirements

• Catia V5 and ENOVIA skills required.
• Large Commercial Aircraft design experience required.
• Must be able to independently determine and develop approaches to accomplishing work statement.
• Plans, schedules, and arranges own activities under general direction and provides work statement instructions to others.
• Contact: Frequently coordinates design criteria and process development requirements with inter-organizational contacts, such as engineering, manufacturing, tooling, material, and planning groups; and outside customers and suppliers.
• Must be capable of representing the organization in providing solutions to difficult technical issues associated with specific projects
