At least nine people were killed and more than 50 people were injured in a plane crash at air show in Reno, Nevada, United States, on Friday (16/09/2011).

Reno Deputy Police Chief, Dave Evans, Saturday (09/17/2011), said seven victims were killed including the pilot died on the spot. The bodies victims found on the surface of the complex way the National Championship Air Show (NCAS) in the desert outside of Reno. The two others died at local hospitals.

"We took 54 patients from here to several hospitals. ... Of those hospitals reported two deaths. We also have data of seven victims were killed as we know at this time on the road surface (tarmac) including the pilot," said Evans.

Eight of those injured are in critical condition and being treated intensively in the two hospitals is important.

NCAS airshows in the show action of the pilots who fly aircraft of World War II era. Type of plane P-51 Mustang flown by veteran airshow pilot seemed to lose control. The plane crashed full force into the audience.

An amateur video that recorded the moment of the crash. Single-seat aircraft was nicknamed "Galloping Ghost" and produced in the 1940s is sliding fast and rolling wildly in the air. The plane then plunged to the ground with a vertical angle to the boundary of the audience and almost on a big rig filled with a lot of people.

Evans added that the plane had no black box. Investigators are now looking for a piece of the plane that reportedly crashed before the accident occurred.

"A component has been found at these sites. This will be studied ... We do not know if it's true or whether the component is a component of certain parts of the aircraft. We will focus on that," Evans said.
