Russia Develops Unmanned Aircraft

Russia was determined to catch up in terms of technology unmanned aircraft (drone) from the U.S.. Russian helicopter manufacturer, Russian Helicopters, receive allocations from the federal government $ 5 billion Russian rubles (USD 1.4 trillion) for the development of three types of drones at once.

Russia's Defense Ministry wants the company is developing an unmanned helicopter weighs light, medium, and heavy, which can be enabled for reconnaissance missions, transport, and invasion. In the first stage, the company has finished creating the prototype target drone melee Ka-135, which can carry a payload weighing 100 kilograms, at the latest by 2015.

The second unmanned helicopters, Albatros, which weighs most heavily, is expected to be finished by 2017. These drones will function as a transport and attack helicopters. While all three drones, medium-weight, being designed to have traveled up to 300 kilometers.

Company that is comprised of three leading Russian helicopter manufacturers, namely Helicopters Mil, Kazan Helicopters, and Kamov Helicopters, drones are believed to develop after Kemenhan Russia disillusioned with domestic firms smaller first awarded the contract development of unmanned helicopters. These companies are accused of wasting state money.

If the program is the development of three types of drones are successful, the Russian Helicopters promised to get additional funding to develop two types of drones again to run the military and police missions.
